"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."

It's been great exploring numerous ways to let our light shine with #LightTheWorld campaign.

So many of you took part and shared your experiences and insights. I hope you got as much out of it as I did.

Special thanks to @hanshotfirst for his special perspective in his posts and all those who also got into the swing of things... my vote power has never been depleted so consistently every day. It was just too tempting to vote up lots and lots of engaging comments and posts. I'm just sorry I couldn't get to all of them.

Thanks to those that also supported the #lighttheworld hashtag with their votes and contributions.

Merry Christmas everyone and thanks for helping to bring Christ back into Christmas by being mindful of his example and teachings and applying these in 25 ways over 25 days.

Jesus taught:

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."

—Matthew 5:16

Jesus is the Light of the World, but every person can shine his or her own light into the world. Follow Christ’s example and be a light in the lives of those around you this Christmas season and all year long.

WAYS YOU CAN SHARE THE LIGHT OF JESUS CHRIST

  • What’s one way Jesus Christ has been an example in your life?
Share that teaching or principle on social media.
  • How can the spirit of Christmas stay with you throughout the year?
Make some plans or goals to continue to serve throughout 2018.

  • Who in your life exemplifies the principle of letting your light shine?
Thank that person for their example.

Great article @gavvet. I wish you Merry Christmas and happy and prosperous 2018.

I love Christmas. It's a good time to share your testimony of what Christ has done for you.

It is high time that during this Christmas, we put our focus on Christ. Christmas has for too long being exploited by merchants to sell their products. May you have a Blessed Christmas and a wonderful New Year.

Remember that love makes all things possible. Reach out and share the gifts and love through an act of kindness to all human beings you interact during this Christmas season.... These little things make Christmas a memorable festival. Merry Christmas!

beautiful , u got new fan here

Wonderful @gavvet. I am encouraged.
I have always believed in Putting yourself out there. Jesus said, “Let your light shine before others” (Matthew 5:16a). He explained that no one lights a lamp just to hide it under a basket. A lamp is meant to be placed on a stand to give light to everything around it. Whether you’re timid or outgoing, you’re called to be a light to the people around you. That’s only possible if you’re taking time to interact with people and cultivate relationships. God bless you.

This is good. You sure have been an inspiration to us all. Thanks for the journey.

In sharing the light of Christ, you should be careful what you say. The Bible calls the tongue “a restless evil, full of deadly poison” (James 3:8).That’s pretty serious. And that’s how we should take our speech—seriously. Maybe a parent once told you, “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.” It’s not bad advice, even as an adult. Words are powerful and can be used for good or bad. You might even post this verse somewhere as a reminder: “Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear” (Ephesians 4:29)

Lets keep our tongue so we can share the light of Christ.

This is really great. Thanks for sharing. I try to Think of others. I Consider other people’s needs and help meet them. I try to encourage instead of criticize. I try to Be patient. I Give others the benefit of the doubt. If i hear gossip, i distance myself from it or change the subject. When i encounter a difficult person, i remember that they were made and are loved by God. Above all, “lets Treat others the same way you want them to treat you” (Luke 6:31).

Thank you for this post. I think one of the ways i normally let the light of christ shine is If i see someone struggling with groceries, i help them to their car. If i see a mother with a baby carrier, hold the door for her. I Look for opportunities to serve. They are all around you. One small act of service can change someone’s day, and possibly their life. Everything good comes from God, and your service will allow God’s spirit to touch their heart.
