Litecoin is the better Bitcoin

in #litecoin7 years ago

Litecoin is going on a run upward to $50 after being one of the more stable coins on the market. Everyone has always considered Litecoin to be the silver to Bitcoin's gold -- even Litecoin's logo is silver. But Litecoin is actually the better version of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin's biggest problem is the high fees and the long transaction times to use the currency. These two problems have been pushing people away from using Bitcoins. BitCart, a company that allows users to buy amazon gift cards with Bitcoin and Dash at a 10% discount, drop Bitcoin from their service due to the long transaction times. The CEO of BitCart regards on the move, “From a merchant’s point of view, Bitcoin is extremely problematic. The backlog is vast and transactions speeds are terribly slow." The flaws of Bitcoin's transaction difficult for it to be used as a currency.

Litecoin recently integrated SegWit into their system which allowed for more transaction to each block. Also the lightning network will be coming to Litecoin and will further improve its speed.

Litecoin however does transactions exceptionable better than Bitcoin. The current median transaction fee of Litecoin is only $0.0115 while Bitcoins's is $2.131.

Additionally, Litecoin has surpassed all coins in the 24 hr volume.

During this spike, figured I would test to see how fast I could transfer some Litecoin. I transferred 0.01 Litecoin from my Jaxx wallet to my Exudus wallet and the transaction went through almost insistently.

Even during a high surge of trading volume Litecoin provides great service. I expect the price and trading volume of Litecoin to spike again on Monday when BitStamp adds Litecoin to its exchange. BitStamp, being a fully licensed exchanged in the EU, shows the general adoption of Litecoin becoming more prominent.

I see Litecoin beginning to take over where Bitcoin left off. Business like BitCart might begin to make the switch from Bitcoin to Litecoin because of the better transaction. It can become a cryptocurrency that can be an actual currency.

Very good article. Good to see I'm not the only one who thinks like this. Though prices might seam inflated for now I don't think they will look like this 2, 3 years from now. This is quite an interesting website I found: https://www.coincheckup.com Since I use this site I make so much less basic investment mistakes. Check: https://www.coincheckup.com/coins/Litecoin#analysis For a complete Litecoin Detailed report.
