Andreas Antonopoulos presented this book in December 2014 and has since become the most valuable source to discover the inner workings of this amazing technology of which Steemit has become a part of. Andreas has specialized on security and distributed systems and ever since he first encountered with Bitcoin has been working and writing about the Bitcoin technology. Although this book is not a good reference for all audiences, for developers or curious minded individuals is an amazingly complete source of knowledge about the Bitcoin ecosystem. Andreas does a great job at dissecting the complexity of the system into manageable segments and processes which, once understood, start joining together like puzzle pieces into the bigger picture. As he explains in the book and has already been hinted by the image of ants in the cover, he describes how leafcutter ants produce a higly complex behaviour and society even though any individual ant is only trained for a simple and specific task. This emergence of complexity through simple processes not only occurs in leafcutter ants but in many aspects of nature, in our civilization and even at a cosmic scale in the universe.
This book is without a doubt a great source to kickstart a new product or service based on blockchain and many people have already designed amazing companies growing by the years as the complexity of this system keeps on expanding. Andreas se especializó en seguridad y sistemas distribuidos y desde que se encontró con Bitcoin ha estado trabajando y escribiendo sobre la tecnologia Bitcoin. Aunque este libro no es una buena referencia para todas las audiencias, para los desarrolladores o las mentes curiosas es una asombrosa fuente completa de conocimiento sobre el ecosistema Bitcoin. Andreas hace un gran trabajo diseccionando la complejidad del sistema en segmentos y procesos más manejables y sencillos los cuales, una vez entendidos, empiezan a juntarse como piezas de un puzzle para desvelar el panorama general. Como explica en el libro y ya ha sido insinuado con la imagen de la hormiga en la portada, describe como las hormigas corta hojas producen un comportamiento y una sociedad altamente compleja aunque cada hormiga individualmente solo cumple una funcion simple y especifica. Este emerger de complejidad sobre procesos aparentemente simples no solo ocurre con las hormigas sino también de muchas mas formas en la naturaleza, en nuestra sociedad e incluso a una escala cósmica en el universo.
Este libro es sin lugar a dudas una gran fuente para arrancar una idea de producto o servicios basados en blockchain y muchas personas ya han podido diseñar compañias que siguen creciendo con los años a medida que la complejidad de este sistema sigue creciendo.
