THE FEAR OF FAILURE STOPS THE EFFORTS

FEAR OF FAILURE STOPS EFFORTS
FOR LEAVING FORWARD.
The inaction that results when people fall into the cycle of fear takes various
shapes. Here are three of the most common ones that I have observed:

  1. Paralysis
For some people, the fear of failure causes an almost absolute paralysis. Leave
of trying to do anything that could lead to failure. President Harry S.
Truman said: "The worst danger we can face is to be paralyzed by the
doubts and fears. This danger is provoked by those who abandon the faith and make fun of
the hope. It is provoked by those who disseminate cynicism and distrust and try
to deny ourselves the great opportunity to do good for others ». The people whose fear
the paralyzes renounce all hope of getting ahead.
  2. Indecision
Other people maintain the hope of overcoming failures but never
They decide to do it. Someone called indecision the fertilizer that makes the
difficulties. Victor Kiam expressed it in a more categorical way; he called her the murderer
    natural of opportunities.
Indecision steals the person's time, productivity and potential. As
President John F. Kennedy said: "Every plan of action has its risks and its cost,
but they have no point of comparison with the risks and costs of a comfortable
inaction". Indecision is too high a price to pay for fear of failure.
  3. Lack of purpose
Tom Peters, coauthor of In Search of Excellence, says there is nothing more useless
that someone who arrives at the end of the day and congratulates himself, saying: «Well, I spent the day without any
setback". It is what many people who are afraid of failure do. In
Instead of going after worthy goals, they avoid the pain of making mistakes. And in the middle of that
erasing they lose sight of any sense of purpose that they could ever
    have had.
By being afraid of failure and the inactivity that this produces, a person in the
Fear cycle exhibits additional negative side effects:
    • Self-pity. She feels sorry for herself. And as time goes by, it goes
assuming less responsibility for your inactivity and start thinking about it
    as a victim.
    • Excuses. A person may fall several times but he will not be a failure but
even when he says someone pushed him. In fact, the person who commits a
lack and then excuse, is adding a second fault to the first. It can
break the cycle of fear when you personally assume responsibility for
    inaction
    • Wasted energy. Fear is constantly dividing the mind and
causing a person to lose focus If you go in too many directions to
the time, it will not get anywhere. You can compare him to the driver who
press the accelerator with the car in neutral.
    • Hopelessness If they are allowed to develop calmly, fear and
Continuous inaction steal hope. The poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
He described this situation thus: "The decline of great hope is like the
decline of the sun. The brightness of our life is gone ».
