Sustainable Development Goals #7: Sustainable and affordable energy

Sustainable Development Goals: Global goals for sustainable development.

An end to extreme poverty, inequality, injustice and climate change. That is the core of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The 193 member states of the United Nations (UN) have adopted this development agenda for 2015-2030. The agenda consists of 17 goals. These SDGs are fully called the Sustainable Development Goals but are often abbreviated to SDGs. They apply in all countries and for all people.

The seventh goal; Sustainable and affordable energy

Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for everyone

We need energy for our prosperity and well-being; to live, live and work. Society could not develop as it does without energy. That is why it is important that everyone can make use of energy, according to the United Nations. One in five people has no access to energy at this time.
But at the same time, energy is also one of the biggest problems of this century. We get too much energy from coal, oil and gas. These raw materials touch once and the fuel causes climate change. At least 60 percent of greenhouse gas emissions are caused by energy.

Technology

By 2030 everyone must have access to affordable, reliable and sustainable energy. Sustainable energy can be obtained from natural sources such as water, wind and sun.
To achieve this goal, these sources need to be better investigated, as well as the technology with which we can generate sustainable energy. In order to make modern and sustainable energy accessible in developing countries, we must also work on improving infrastructure and technological progress.
