Celebrating @rod.crisafulli's Life | Sat 21st Dec, 1-5pm, London Vauxhall

in #london5 years ago

As some of you may know or may have read from my previous posts, Rodolfo @rod.crisafulli, a close friend and a well loved member of the London Steem Community passed away unexpectedly in late August.

I, along with some of his other close friends, have been helping the family deal with his affairs, and after quite a long complicated road, we are finally able to have him cremated and host a simple memorial here in London.

A chance for all of his friends in/around London to come together, we will be showcasing some of his latest Artwork, host a meditation session in his honour, and most of all, celebrate his life together.

Interestingly, the memorial will be taking place the day after what would have been Rodolfo's 49th birthday 💙

Date: Saturday 21st December, 2019

Time: 1-5 pm

Venue: Top Room of Bonnington Centre
11 Vauxhall Grove, London SW8 1TD

(Nearest station: Vauxhall station - 5 min walk)

If you are able to join us, please let me know here or privately, we would love to see you there. The venue has a limited capacity, so it would be helpful to know how many people are attending, I'd also love to know how much finger foods and drinks to have available for everyone.

Also note: I will be posting about a fundraiser soon to help raise the cost of reuniting Rodolfo with his family, as soon as all the details have been confirmed. Please keep an eye for this, as any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

For all those here who knew and cared about Rod, I sincerely hope you can make it, it will be a very meaningful time of gathering and a good way to get some closure. And for those who can't be there, I will do my best to post pictures of his Artwork and any video tributes after the event :)

Take care, all of you

Much Love from Red

Hey mate, sorry not been in touch for a while, will defiantly try to make it, hope you are well ? lets speak soon ! big hugs x

How very sad. But I hope the opportunity for connection and closure is healing. ❤️

Thanks @jayna, I know it will be for those of us who need it <3

Not sure I can make it, but I was lucky to meet him briefly. A nice guy and it's so sad that we lost him so young.

No worries Steve, we did definitely lose him too young...

Hope all is well with you :)

Thanks for letting us know. I will come. I know I barely knew Rod and I can never forget sitting next to him and being fascinated by his constant quest for the perfect shot, but what I did know of him I liked very much and so how better to remember him than with the good things he did for us all?

Hi @redrica
I was told you are the UK Steem community organizer. How may I contact you privately?

Posted using Partiko Android

Hey @pushpedal, sorry for the mega late reply, the partiko app that I could used to count on for notifications doesn't work anymore, so I'm just realizing the messages I've missed.

I'm not quite sure if I can still consider myself the London Steem community organizer, as I've been on a break, and haven't organized one since Aug. Hopefully I'll soon be back on Steem a bit more, then would be happy to organize something. I don't use discord anymore, if you still want to private message me, maybe on twitter (@EnricaLam) or instagram(@redrica)? I'm not active on them at the moment, but would get the message. Thanks

So sorry, I completely missed this post somehow.
Rod will be greatly missed - he was a kind and vibrant man, always with a smile.
I hope you are doing well Red and that the ceremony was one of reflection and celebration X

Hopefully speak again soon. ❤️

Ah man... if things weren't so manic, I would have remembered to message you directly to let you know. I haven't posted about it yet, but it was a very therapeutic gathering, his girlfriend flew in from Norway to join us, and to be honest, for most of it, there was lots of laughter and us all getting to know each other, just as Rod would have liked. Anyway, thank you for the thoughts. Hope you and the family are well and had a beautiful restful time over Christmas and the New Year. Take care and talk soon bro <3
