San Francisco Light Show
... The type of light show that happens every night in San Francisco. View from the Battery Spencer overlook by the Golden Gate Bridge. Features light trails from cars, boats, planes, and stars.
This is a composite of photos taken on my Nikon D7000, edited in Lightroom and Photoshop.

So many types of trails can be confusing. Here are a few tips for beginners:
- Car light trails are color-coded: white indicates approaching vehicles while red indicates departing vehicles. Never walk directly in the middle of either color.
- Boat light trails typically occur on or near a body of water. Those allergic to water should avoid these trails.
- Airplane light trails lead to high altitude. Do not attempt these trails unless you know how to fly.
- Star trails go around in big circles. Pick a direction and you'll eventually end up back where you started.

Star trails are my favorite. I love following trails that take me back to where I started, especially when I'm not expecting that to happen! So much fun.
