WHO IS LORD SHIVA ? 🔱

Lord Shiva, in Hinduism, is one of the principal deities and is considered the destroyer of evil and the transformer within the Trimurti, the Hindu trinity that includes Brahma (the creator) and Vishnu (the preserver). He is often depicted as a yogi, sitting in deep meditation on Mount Kailash, his abode. Shiva is also known for his role as the cosmic dancer, Nataraja, symbolizing the rhythmic movement of the universe.

Symbolically, Shiva represents the aspects of destruction and regeneration necessary for the cycle of creation to continue. He is often depicted with a third eye, representing wisdom and insight, and a crescent moon on his head, representing the passage of time. His consort is Goddess Parvati, and his sons include Ganesha and Kartikeya.

Devotees of Shiva, known as Shaivas, worship him in various forms, seeking his blessings for spiritual growth, liberation, and protection from evil forces. Lord Shiva is revered across India and beyond, with festivals like Maha Shivaratri celebrated in his honor.
