The interminable stars

original poetry

space_by_altalamatox-daphjmx.jpg

Of all the lines
Conceived and penned in vain,
Not the stars among them:
The indomitable stars ring clear
With their love song of remembering.

Remembering everything

Pressed down by their glassy heft,
Pulled up by their shining minds
To our empyrean motherland.

Seeing everything we left behind

Out there on the shattered islands,
The ballistic villages of yore
Where we loved and fought
And laughed—

Remembering everything,

Everything.

Splitting memories, in
The trillion scenes, that
Carve clefts through sanity
And unfasten the heartclasps,

The interminable stars.

Teachers and lovers all,
They whisper, below the grey roar
Of the cities' cursèd light, every story
In the book of life they scream
Into the blessèd night.

Beyond an Awesome poem..."Splitting memories..."@d-pend my favorite part. Made me think though, that in all our lives, our yes(s) and our no(s) in life create this carved passage in our minds through sanity that...whomever is at the end of the tunnel is your true self! Which in turn "...unfastens the heartsclasps."@d-pend #myinterpretation #stayhumble

Thanks for transferring such a vibrant image about the passage. Your interpretation is welcome anytime @cesarlrossi! I'm glad you got something from the piece.

Thank you for the beautiful poem.

It makes me homesick. I am at my mother in law's house in the Korean countryside but I would like to be in Chicago.

There is a bigger homesickness. It is from our great origins. Although we are made from dust, it is stardust. We are all connected. And we long to go back there.

Thanks for sharing this poem which makes me think about my existence and humbles me before the canopy of the heavens.

This one was on another level. Was something.... I can't really describe to be honest. The way you tell a story, the imagery... It's just, man. Very nice.

that which shines more than the others,
the one that lights my nights
when nostalgia embraces me.
My star,
which is always there for me,
in the difficult moments,
Today I dedicate these verses to you
even if you are always
in the sky....

beautiful poetry is a pleasure to follow you

Very good poem @d-pend, "The interminable stars". Words that have profound meaning, words to which are filled with the beauty of love. Like the beauty of the flickering stars in the silent midnight. I have also posted a poem about "The beauty of the moon".

You will always be a teacher to me, where I am to learn to write a poem, because you are the one who made me become the spirit and continue to write poetry. Thank you and hope you will always be the moon that shines on my night in the dark.... :)

star stars always blink when the eve of the night, the star of life, the giver of light in the night, illuminates every depressed soul

I Loved it, please continue doing things like this. Personally, I've never been much of a poet myself. I'd like to give it an opportunity, of course, because a writer should always read everything. I was actually reading The Iliad, but it's costing me.

I'm following you now :)
