LOVE and TECHNOLOGY - A Seasonal Article!

Hi Steemians,

LOVE

If Christmas is the season of giving, Valentines is the season of loving. This is the season where you see flowers, chocolates, pillows, candies, lollipops and custom things that resemble the concept of love. The most noticeable though is the romantic one which involves two individuals. What most people don’t realize is that this season is not but limited to people who are dating, married or are considered girlfriends and boyfriends.

Valentines is also for your siblings whom you frequently argue with or your father and mother you try to ignore when they scold you for a mishap. Valentines is also for your friends who you share your secrets with. This is also to your officemates or people you encounter on a daily basis. Loving knows no boundaries, age, limit, gender, hierarchy, race, color and status of life.

TECHNOLOGY

Technology, on the other hand is inevitable in its progress. It is trying to bind the world and made it closer. Even with miles and oceans apart can now be connected through a variety of devices. We have the revolution of smart phones and the internet. We have laptops and computers. Even the internet has developed so well that you have the choice of utilizing wireless technology or the more effective fiber optics. Satellites are positioned in the earth’s orbit to maximize scope of signal so that everyone will have access to the internet.

APPLICATION

People who are separated by distance due to many reasons are now able to contact and see each other face to face due to this advancement. However, even if technology’s purpose is really to help people connect; it is also the reason for their separation. Technology places two people in a situation wherein they are going out together and dine in the same place yet so lost with their own mobile phones.
I always observe that scene everywhere. It can be in fastfoods, parks, malls, virtually everywhere. They are all consumed and succumb to the horrors of technology that they forgot the importance of personal touch. A healthy conversation is most of the time, missed. It is indeed a sad sight! Would you choose to be together but is seemingly apart because you are too busy with your mobile phones? I don’t think so.

I am proud that I am using technology properly. I am in a dreaded long distance relationship but that doesn’t stop us from maintaining the flare. She is in Taiwan and I am in the Philippines yet we always make it feel that we are just nearby. This is the beauty of technology and we are able to adapt to it.

TECHNOLOGY; WILL IT BREAK OR MAKE YOUR RELATIONSHIP?

Kindly ask yourself that.
