DEAR GIRLFRIEND

I love that we are friends on Facebook, trust me, I do. I absolutely love the photos you post, most of which are not really what you exactly look like anyway, but who cares.

But the garland on your head & the dog-tongue hanging out of your mouth leaves me wondering if you are beginning to get pissed off at God for creating you a drop dead gorgeous woman, instead of a dog. You prefer to have whiskers like a cat and are happy to attach two horns on your head as well as replace your cute nose with that of a dog. My dear, what’s the rationale?

I know it’s currently trendy, but I’m not entirely sure that this particular trend best describes the woman I want to call my own. You have a great personality and carry yourself well in the real world, but on social media, you are a panting dog with tongue sticking out almost to the floor or at best, a cat with long whiskers.

Just before I drop my golden pen, as we would say in our primary school love letters 😁, please be careful what you put out there. Granted, men love to ogle and give compliments to ‘slay queens.’
you might have even seen me leave a comment ‘sumptuous boobs’ on a photo of a lady who displayed her assets to the world. But I really didn’t mean it, deep down.

If this caused your new behaviour of baring ‘it’ all out, then I sincerely apologise & take responsibility. You have really nice boobs, but it becomes irritating when they are shoved down our faces in the name of ‘slaying’

Men are visual; I mean you must have noticed, we can’t help ourselves sometimes when we see women’s bare bodies. However, when the chips are down, we would not wish these women were ours.

I love you just the way you are. I might compliment an indecently dressed woman, but deep down, I would pay anything to stay away from dating a woman like that.

I like to see you all made up and flashy, but I enjoy it most when you are subtle with the face paints, so then I can catch a glimpse of your natural beauty and hail God for such a wonderful masterpiece.

The pressure to get comments is real, I know. The pressure to attract men’s attention etc. But you can attract the right attention all covered up. Even if nobody compliments or floods your timeline like they do the ‘other women’ rest assured that I adore the ground you step on & God who created you thinks you are fearfully and wonderfully made. Don’t conform.

Your boyfriend,
OBA
