Blind Contour Drawing | Hand-Eye Coordination Exercise
This is the 2nd exercise in the first book of drawing for beginner artists. In this video I talk about Blind Contour Drawing method which is an essential technique introduced by Kimon Nicolaïdes in The Natural Way to Draw, and it is further popularized by Betty Edwards as "pure contour drawing" in The New Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain.
This method will teach how to be patient with your drawing and focused with the way you perceive your reference. If you practice this method it will make your drawings more precise, focused and correct. Once you master this technique you will see your object as a group of lines and forms instead of a memorized object that your logical brain will try to finish for you everytime you try to draw it.
This video is targeted at absolute beginners who just took their first step into the art world.
Hope you find it helpful :)
