A girl's story

in #love4 months ago (edited)

I knew a girl who saved money for marriage instead of spending her varsity life in comfort and fun. The girl was my roommate. This girl studying chemistry at Eden College used to get up every morning and walk from Green Road to Eden to save ten rupees. But if someone asked, he would say with a smile, "I was going to wrap up, so I walked." But I know that she is saving money for marriage despite starving.
The girl's name was Shanta. This calm and polite girl like her name was in love with a boy from Dhaka University. I heard from Shanta that the boy lived in the village next to her. He used to come to see Shanta every day during the college holidays. Then the boy came to Dhaka and was admitted. After two years, Shanta also came and got admission in Eden. Financial condition of Shanta's family is fair. He sent him an expense every month, and he himself earned good money by doing tuitions, but he was forced to spend.
One day a week, she would buy meat, cook it and take most of it for this loving man. Sometimes he would not even keep a piece for himself. Regretfully said,
"Understood, your brother doesn't eat fish in the hall. There is a little fresh air. He waits all week to eat from my hand.

Shanta's boyfriend was preparing day and night for BCS. And Shanta was trying to collect money day and night. After classes, tuition and coaching all day, he used to come at night and write accounts hoping to get some money.
Once Shanta fell ill I was very upset. Then he said in a shy voice, "My favorite wedding will be organized with much fanfare. As if everyone says, look at that Shanta's wedding. Such a wedding is not seen these days.
Shanta's madness was dismissed by everyone in the hostel. But I liked it very much. The girl does not depend on anyone to fulfill her hobbies and desires. Trying himself. I loved seeing him.
One day Shanta got married in a simple way. One morning he woke me up and said, "Today we are getting married".
I narrowed my eyes and looked at Shanta. The calm, gentle eyes are shining with a smile on the face. I saw the joy in Shanta's eyes that day, just like the joy of seeing a new Eid dress for the first time as a child.
I was also present at Shanta's wedding. The boy suddenly got a small job so he didn't want to delay anymore. Accepted and got married without any arrangements.
Seeing Shanta's husband made me feel bad. Shanta was so crazy for a boy with black hair! I took cover and said to Shanta, "The love of death has blinded you completely"?
Shanta hugged my neck and whispered with her mouth close to my ear, May such love come in your life too. I will understand then. I understood that because this love took Shanta like many currents, her love to marry with fanfare also swelled like a campfire.
Life goes by the rules of life. But one day the love of dying really came in my life.
The boy was Asif. This lover, who was delighted to hear my music on Rabindra Jayanti in the university, used to visit me every afternoon after office. I used to go to the library to read. The close friend used to whisper, look at the condition of the sun-burned face, but the lover does not like it. Why suddenly my mind melts. One afternoon I went for a rickshaw ride with Asif. At Rabindrosarovar that day only he was speaking and I was listening. When returning, he said, one day he will play music. That song is "Tomak Khola Hawaaye".
After that, I used to go around regularly in the rickshaw enjoying the urban air. Suddenly I remembered about Shanta. Shanta's husband TK did not feel bad then. Rather, I could see their family of murder, pride and arrogance in my imagination.
But there was no further contact with Shanta. Shanta and many others lost their lives after losing their phones.
After completing my graduation, I married Asif with the consent of my family. Life after marriage was very difficult for me. I felt in my bones how difficult it is to keep people's minds. But when I was playing with dolls as a child, everyone said that this girl will have a golden family one day. While managing the family, I realized that the family is not as easy as playing dolls. If something is wrong, the doll does not come to catch the mistake, does not listen. But it will happen in the world.
The former lover and husband after marriage started saying poor thing, everyone's wife is working and you are getting fat by filling your plate and eating rice.
I went down to look for a job because my self-esteem was against the wall. By then it was too late. Even in the grind of the world, I forgot that I had studied a difficult subject like chemistry, studying it night after night.
I fell into the struggle for existence. One such day I met Shanta. I was returning home by bus after a job interview when a familiar voice called, Jhumu na?
I saw Shanta and said in a shocked voice, Shanta you? Why this situation!
Shanta smiled and said with a dirty face, why are you in this condition? The face of the girl who smoothed the skin of the face every night became so old!
I smiled softly and said, as you said, this tough love came right but it was not tolerated so....
Shanta said in a bored voice, when girls fall in love, they feel like life is like a fairy tale. But according to fairy tales, nothing happens in the life of girls. What happens is a myth.
When Shanta went down, I called and asked, I didn't talk about you? your husband Baby?
Shanta lowered her throat and said, I came back after you left the hostel. You know I came empty handed! Although all the things in the world were bought with my saved money, I could not come back with even a cloth tip on my forehead.
A good lover is never a good husband.
Shanta gets down from the bus and gets lost in the crowd. Shanta's words started ringing in my ears. "There are no fairy tales in girls' lives. What happens is a fairy tale.
