When you love, you become dependent.

Love is not only this lovely sensation or the tremulous expectation with moments of subtle bliss – no matter is it generally presented like this. It goes hand in hand with uncertainty which can rot you from the inside.

When you love, you depend.

You depend on the time and attention you are given. It’s like a drug.

This is a moment of fragility.

We are apt to give up on our position, our values. Not because we have to but because we might lose the scarce benevolence and time and attention given to us.

Until the point… we are sure we are good enough.
But when does this happen?

All of us need regular love confessions or demonstrations of the latter, of respect and admiration, right?

And when we don’t receive it often enough we might start revaluing all the effort put – all our kind gestures and emotional resources invested… mutuality is often under scrutiny.

And then those given up positions and values appear on the surface.
The sparsity of compliments and kind gestures recall of itself.

And all of this can erode a relationship.

What is your formula for dealing with this?
