"Things being loved"

"If everyone demanded peace instead of another television set, then there'd be peace."
Materialism is eating us Inside out. It has led to Depression, anxiety and broken relationships. It is socially destructive and self destructive. A guy wearing rolex, driving a ferrari, owns a big house and has 7 digit balance in his bank account is more preferred than a guy who actually loves you more than anyone else in this world.
People, uploading pictures with endless yachts, cars, bags, watches, mansions and private jets, etc, it is just disorienting and even distressing.
The pictures are, of course, intended to incite envy. The young man and women seem to be lost in their designer clothes, cars, etc, dwarfed and dehumanised by their possessions as if ownerships has gone reverse. There is a two way relationship between materialism and Loneliness, materialism fosters social isolation, isolation fosters loneliness. People who are cut off from others attach themselves with their possessions. The attachment in turn crowds out the social relationship.
Girls being attracted with boys roaming around in big cars and owning mansions, they are being used and abused physically and socially but they don't confess they were just attracted by the assets of the guy who never loved him and just to gain attention they tried getting laid but what in return?. The guy didn't care after he had his pleasure.
Materialism forces us into comparison with the possessions of others, a race both cruelly illustrated and crudely propelled by that toxic website. There is no end to it. If you have four Rolexes while another has five, you are a Rolex short of contentment. The material pursuit of self-esteem reduces your self-esteem.
Change your mindset, get rid of mental illness and anxiety and broken relationships. Love the people and use the things, rather than loving people and using things.
