The price of Ripple's XRP commemorative has soared in recent months, and now it's worth further than Bitcoin or Ethereum.
With the combined value of all XRPs at$18.56 billion, trading volume in the last seven days is$ 25 billion, according to data from CoinMarketCap. The cryptocurrency has seen a significant increase in its price over the last many weeks and presently sits at around$0.41 per unit( XRP), which is over from around$0.3 per unit just one month agone.
What is driving this rise in value? According to economist Max Keiser, there are three main factors contributing to its recent swell increased demand forcross-border payments; a new cooperation with payment processor Stripe; and rumors that Ripple might be partnering up with banks to launch its own edict currency called XRP2
