You might be enjoying your quarantine period by playing Ludo. What do you think is Ludo an India or Western game? Probably, it seems like it is our own game. We have been playing it since our childhood. I was planning to read about its origin. I came across some interesting facts.

Ludo is latin a word which means ‘I play’. The game was patented as "Ludo" in England in 1896. Ludo is played with a cubic die with dice cup. It is derived from the Indian game Pachisi, which means twenty-five. 25 is the highest move one can make in the game.

Pachisi is a cross and circle board game that originated in medieval India. It is said that the Emperor Akbar took such a fancy to playing the game on this grand scale that he had a court for pachisi constructed in all his palaces, and traces of such are still visible at Agra and Allahabad. There are assumptions that the famous gambling game played in the classic literary epic, Mahabharat.

We use many things in our day to day life but don’t know much about them. Especially, the most precious device we have, the brain. We use smartphone but know a little. Sometimes, knowing may be not important as it is not urgent. However, in the long run it is always fruitful. As we observer yesterday in the time matrix
