Shallow Depth of Field

in #macrophotography5 years ago (edited)

Have been a while since I posted a pictures, so it's time to take a break from the The Daily Adventures of a SteemPeak Developer and share an image :D

This is a macro shot I took more as an experiment than a real photo. I was doing some tests on the depth of field of the lens and I'm quite impressed by how short the focus area can be.

A very very shallow depth indeed.
But what a great picture. Makes me realize i should do more stuff like that. however i don't have a really good maco type lens at the moment.

I'm selling my macro lens so for a bit I'll not have one either. Me and my wife are fully moving to Sony and we are selling all the Canon lens we still have and have used with an adapter for the past 2 years :)

Yay love to see your photography. A great picture!

Thanks Sara. I'll try to post more pictures in the coming months :D

Great I look forward to seeing them.

Hi Sergio. Have you heard from Scott recently, in the last week?

I heard from him. :)

I’m not going to lie, I’ve missed your photography.

Being able to capture the stunning details of dandelions are one of the biggest reasons I want a macro lens. Beautiful capture 🙂

Lately I'm quite impressed also by the magnification of some standard lenses :D

Great photo!

Greetings from Mexico.
