Macrophotography Entry#1: Black Ant
The black garden ant or Lasius niger, also called as the common black ant. This is a formicine ant, the type species of the subgenus Lasius. The European species was split into two species; Lasius niger is found in open areas, while Lasius platythorax is found in forest habitats. It is monogynous,meaning colonies that have a single queen.
I used my Asus Zenfone to capture this.
