Mahakal Ki Nagari :: Ujjain Trip With FrIends!!

I had a trip last Sunday with my beloved friends to Ujjain, which is called the City Of Mahakal (God Shiva). Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and one of the twelve Jyotirlingams, shrines which are said to be the most sacred abodes of Lord Shiva is here. The ancient name of city Ujjain is Ujjaini which is situated along the River Kshipra. Ujjain is well-known for its temples.
This city is located in the state of Madhya Pradesh. 173 kms from Bhopal Me Is far and connected by all the major cities of the country by rail and bus. Ujjain is also called Ujjaini, Avanti, Avantika and Avantikapuri.

We have visited a Jain temple as well at Sonkachha which is around 50-60 km before Ujjain, as it was early morning so we have enjoyed taking photographs in sunrise.

Jain Temple

Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga is the only Jyotirlinga of 12 Jyotirlingas which is the South Mukhi. That is why it has special significance in the Tantric genres. This is a self-sacrificing Shivling that means it appeared on this place itself. Here is an Aarti to raise the Bharat Atma, Lord Shiva Shankar, in which the Lord's makeup is consumed. It is necessary for men to wear dhoti and sari for women to participate in Bhashma Arati. The view of Bhashma Aarti is very captivating.

The temples of many other Goddesses are also decorated in the temple premises. Near the temple there is a lake named Rudra Sagar, which is said to be very important for knowledge. On the third floor of the temple of Mahakaleshwar, there is a temple of Nagchandreshwar which opens only once a year on the Panch Panchami day.

Ramghat Kshipra River
India is a country where rivers have been granted mother status. The Shipra river is also one of the holy rivers, which is considered as the water of nectar. It is said that the Shipra river has come out of the body of Lord Vishnu and after bathing in it, salvation is attained. Lord Shree Ram donated the body of his father Mahraj Dashrath in the Shipra river. The view of the evening arti in Shipra river is extremely peaceful. The significance of the Shipra river is mentioned in the Puranas. Ram Ghat is a famous Ghat here.

Mangalnath Temple :-
The birth of the temple of Mangal Ghar from Bhagwan Shankar was done at this place. Cancer line goes from this temple. Mars house has a lot of influence on human life. There is a special puja for the peace of Mars house. Here the special anointing and worship of the body of the house of rice from the rice is done. This temple is very ancient. Visitors look forward to salvation from their sufferings and wish for a happy future. This temple is about 5 km from Mahakaleshwar temple.

Kal Bhairav Temple

In the town of Mahakal, Ujjain, Kal Bhairav, which was revealed from Shiva's third eye, is also established. Shiva is beautiful in this ancient temple in the form of Bhairav, one of eight Bhairavs. Kaal Bhairav ​​is an angry form of Shiva, who is destroying the sins of all the stars and protecting his devotee with undesirable factors. This temple of God Kal Bhairav, built in the region of Ujjain's Bhairav ​​Gadh, is very surprising.
The temple of Bhairav, established in this temple, is offered in the worship of wine and as soon as the cup of wine is applied to the lips of Lord Kaal Bhairav, the cup becomes empty.

SandipaniAshram
Sandipani Ashram is considered as one of the famous tourist spots located at two kilometers from the temple town of Ujjain. The place has a great mythological value. It is believed that this is the ashram where Guru Sandipani used to teach Shree Krishna, his friend Sudama and Lord Krishna’s brother Balram.

Bhartrihari Caves

These caves are situated just above the bank of the Shipra near the temple of Gadkalika. According to popular tradition, this is the spot where the great Sanskrit Poet Bhartrihari, who is said to have been the step brother of Vikramaditya, lived and meditated after renouncing worldly life. He is believed to have been a great scholar and poet. His famous works, Shringarshatak, Vairagyashatak, and Nitishatak, are known for the exquisite use of the Sanskrit meter.
