It's a privilege to join the 5th week of Steemit Learning Challenge in makeup class where practical techniques of DAYTIME MAKEUP was being shown by the teacher.

Show step by step the shading on your eyes using the “Cut Crease” technique; tell us if you have done it before and if the process was difficult for you

Makeup tools

I don't wear makeup often and the few times I did, I usually flow with the vibes without paying attention to whatever technique I'm using in shading the eyes. Honestly, I would say that it's my first time of performing a "Cut Crease" technique because it is in this class I was able to know and understand what those words mean in makeup.

Natural: before makeup

I started the makeup with cleaning my face and apply primer. I arranged my eyebrows using a brown eye pencil and brush.

I concealed the eyebrows to look nice and then moved down to my eyelids to give it a light shade with concealer.

I used brown shade ( natural color) eye shadow on my eyelids and eye socket, I went for color that will blend with my skin and not shiny.

I proceeded to the most default stage where I tried to separate the tones with concealer before applying another shade of eyeshadow to seal the concealer on the eyelid.

I used black eyeliner ( dry and liquid) to carefully drew a line on the base of my lashes. Lastly, I applied black mascara on my lashes and it came out fine.

Here’s the result for part 1;

Finish your makeup by adding everything seen previously in class, such as applying foundation, lipstick, contouring, and correcting imperfections; the main objective of this assessment is to achieve smooth, shine-free skin

I applied foundation then used beauty blender to blend properly. I did some highlight and contour on my oval shaped face. I tried my best to maintain a natural makeup not too pronounced.

The next stage was to apply and blend powder to the skin.

Lastly, I moved to the lips where I used brown lip pencil to line the edges of my lips. When it comes to my lips, I'm very careful because I have a natural brown lined edges and a pink lips.

After doing the edges, I used a nude color lipstick in the center and blend before applying a little lipgloss. Lips makeup is the must easiest part of makeup for me.

What are the recommendations for a makeup that lasts even on hot days or when you do a lot of physical activity; also, the function that loose powder has to give a better finish to our skin

Recommendations for Long Lasting Makeup

• Understand your skin and use a good products that will keep your makeup for long without breaking out during the day.
• Cleaning and moisturizing the skin before applying makeup keeps the skin safe and makeup smooth
• Light makeup is recommendable for a hot day so it is best to go for soft tone eye makeup with long lasting matte products.
• Make use of setting spray on your face after applying makeup

Loose powder gives the following better finish to our skin;

• It controls the skin from over shiny
• It covers imperfections
• It creates balance for skin tones
• It gives makeup a smooth texture
• It seals makeup to give a better result
