SLC-S21W5 | Day Makeup

Hello friends. It's yet another makeup week again. This time I'll be doing"day makeup". We'll I haven't heard the phrase day makeup before but now I know and as the name implies it's simply as makeup done to be used during the day and engage in normal daily activities. A day makeup has to be light and simple without much glittering or glossy look but should be a natural and matte finish. That's exactly what I have done and I've provided a step by step procedure of my day makeup.
I actually don't do day makeups on a norm. I do makeups that re glittering mostly for occasions so I didn't have an easy time doing this one but I tried all the same

My natural look

Step 1: Eyebrows and eyes

Well, I did the cut crease a long time ago. I rarely do makeup and when I do it's not always a day makeup so it was a bit difficult to achieve a natural tone. I guess I tried achieving a natural look.

I started with my eyes and applied my eye primer, then I used a nude tone and of course it gave a matte and natural finishing.

Next I shaded my eyelid and the sockets to achieve the natural tone

Then, I applied a lighter shade that contrasted with the one I used previously. I used nude color at the beginning and light pink at the edge.

Next, I blended it some more to neutralize the tone and reduce excessive shine

Finally I applied a black mascara and eyeliner as I didn't have the brown color

Step 2: Skin and lips

Foundation and powder applied

I used my foundation and powder on my face, then I applied my blush lightly at the both sides of my face as you can see, it's really light, then I used more foundation to cover a pimple that shoot out on the right side of my face. It isn't visible anymore because I covered it completely with the powder, I guess that's the only imperfection and I made use of a lipstain.

Lipstains are my favourite because they stay for hours on my lips and still maintain the colour adding beauty to my lips althrough the day. I also add a little lipgloss to maintain the moisture on my lips. I use a little so as to maintain that simple look I'm trying to get.

💄 Find out what are the recommendations for a makeup that lasts even on hot days or when you do a lot of physical activity; also, the function that loose powder has to give a better finish to our skin.

When you engage in a lot of physical activity or the weather is hot especially here in Africa, it's important to carry on a light makeup so as to lessen the heat and the sweat that comes with heavy makeup.

First, we all know a primer needs to be used to make the makeup last longer
I normally use a waterproof foundation to prevent sweat from interfering. The water proof foundation keeps my face dry for hours.
Lipstains would also be better than lipsticks because they last longer.
Waterproof mascara should also be used so it still shines despite sweat.
It is also essential to carry a hand fan along, an electric one that is portable. I use that a lot to help me deal with the heat especially during occasions. This helps my makeup to be intact, not wearing out for the whole day.

Most times, I find out that even at the end of the day, I do not feel like wiping the makeup off because it still looks good but I just had to wipe it off and cleanse my skin to protect it from product buildup.
Setting spray will be beneficial to hold the makeup and maintain the shiny nature for a long period of time.
I use loose setting powder a lot. Loose setting powder is another great option for shine control and naturally mattifies the skin to create a flawless finish.
It is used to set the makeup in place for all day wear.
It also gives the skin an instant glam through dusting and puffing. It smooths out the skin texture by covering pores with a natural-looking matte finish
