This general election is not going to change the country for the better

This is probably the unusual opinion you will hear during election but please remember, Malaysia. Voting right is merely your privilege, bestowed upon you by the constitution of free right of democracy, to choose who you want to represent you on a state or a parlimentary level. Unfortunately, it is highly unlikely for you to change the country with the current political situation because we are given the choices which one is too corrupted and the other one is too fragmented which each ally are holding their own agenda. I see the reason to swing myself to either side but at the end of the tunnel, I also see there is a monster waiting to be unleashed.

STOP saying you are fulfilling your civil responsibility to cast your vote during the 14th general election in May 9, 2018 . Your civil responsibility is to have more compassion for others, pay your taxes, have more awareness of the environment or even by parking your car responsibly... Malaysia, or any other countries, will not be the best version of how you want it to be if you are not doing your part of building it in your daily life.

Now, I am not disregarding the importance of casting your vote with this post because it is an important faction of this democratic nation. I wish people would audit their own behavior and see how they can contribute on a microscopic level to influence a bigger impact instead of tripping themselves into the fallacy that choosing the less-evil-of-both is the answer to improve the country. To quote John F. Kennedy, former American president in his inaugural address in 1961, "ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country".

Maybe, that is the answer everybody are searching for all along...
