Manali is situated in the lap of the Kullu valley which is one of the tourist destinations visited by most tourists. It is located at an elevation of 2050 meters above sea level and spreads along banks of Beas river. The meaning of the residence of Manali Manu or 'Manu's house' derives its name from Manavalaya, and here, temples are in the form of shrines. Its tranquil atmosphere provides an ideal shelter for people suffering from hot Indian summers.

Manali is also famous for adventure sports such as skiing, hiking, mountaineering, para gliding, rafting, trekking, kayaking and mountain biking. For Manali, its lush green cedar forests and shadow mountains are quite famous in the snow.

Tourist attractions in Manali

Manu Temple: In the name of Manali Manu Rishi, who was the creator of the human race on earth and it is believed that he meditated here. It is considered as the temple of Manu in India.
