So I started the next Mandala art piece and I wanted to take you through the process again. I really love making these posts and it’s also a great way to keep track of my own progress while working on the piece.
Just like before I started with the basic grid sketches to guide me while I’m working. This time I’m working on paper a bit bigger than an A5 piece. I went with a different route appose to the traditional mandala grid works. I think I just wanted to try it out to see if something interesting would come from it.

After I drew the basic grid I filled in some of the basic patterns I was going to focus on. I did this in pencil just to get a idea of the piece before doing it in pen.

Then I started filling in the basic details in pen. I drew with different shaded of blue for this piece.

Did you share the post with an amazing city hall entrance!? I like the artwork, and the choice of colors is good.
