Market Friday in Maine
I have been fortunate to have so many of you posting different markets from all over the world! I cannot tell you how fascinating it has been, sitting here, watching the world parade by. So, yes! I would love to see yours! Don't forget to take photos wherever you happen to be shopping - whether it be the grocery store, the local marketplace or even an art gallery. Wherever money is exchanged for a service or for merchandise. Be different if you wish! It does not have to be a traditional market! We will love it! I promise you! Don't forget to use the hashtag #MarketFriday and @dswigle.
But first, a flower. Always a flower.
Today is #BlueFlowersDay with @aditzu! Let's see some of those blue flowers!
Please leave the link to your post on here so it can easily be found by others. They will all be in one place. Where else can you take such a quick trip around the globe? Thank you! ❤
The small, meandering streets are filled with little shops, filling almost every need. Stores for fishing, stores for dance, places that feed the knowledge and places like bars and pubs that can take that same knowledge away. Food for your thoughts and just desserts. Oh, do they have a store for you!
Step right up and see what there is!
There is much warmth and kindness as you wander through this little town, where the water meets the forest, with a spot of beach to break it all up. It is a popular place to stop along your way. It has always been a playground for the rich and a peaceful retreat for those that are rich in the heart. Together they mingle, not knowing one from the other, but, only kindred spirits, seeking solace in the peace.
So, what is it you are looking to buy? I will be sure to point you in the right direction!
Let's not forget we are in LOBSTER town! Everything seafood, but, especially lobster. Maine is king of the claw! Most make their way to the docks, where a deal can be spun and you take it away with you, ready to eat. For those not in that mood, there are plenty of restaurants, just waiting to serve you. Bon appetit!
Wherever you go, whatever you do, there is a moose or a lobster, although I only see the moose when I am in the National Park, a highlight to any adventure in beauty. They call it the crown jewel of the North Atlantic Coastline.
Acadia National Park protects the natural beauty of the highest rocky headlands along the Atlantic coastline of the United States, an abundance of habitats with high biodiversity, clean air and water, and a rich cultural heritage. Each year, more than 3.3 million people explore seven peaks above 1,000 feet, 158 miles of hiking trails, and 45 miles of carriage roads with 16 stone bridges. See here
Can we ever forget this wonderful store of everything wood? If you don't recall it, go back here and see the incredible store and the man who does it all.
All that work on wood makes me hungry for a little ice cream and this town is not short of those. Ice cream shops on every corner and one in between, just in case you miss it! So, tell me, what flavor are you thinking today? I believe I will do Marsh Mud, a rich blend of chocolate and fudge. Yummy!
*And, that my friends, is the way OUT of #MarketFriday. It was short and sweet, but, I have a ship with my name on it and it is just waiting to sail off into the sunset. I will pop in to check out your posts, but, in the meantime, I will gather up some sun and shine! Have a wonderful rest of your week and I'll be back in less than two weeks!
One last flower!

Ohhhhhhh......this is just not fair rub it in laying on a deckchair... how do you get to go on so many vacations ...what is your secert...lol :)
I got smart early in life! 😊
Your not only all good looks ...well done my friend enjoy be seeing you at the Bahamas on your next visit...hehe :)
First and foremost: pleasant and enjoyable vacation!
We all expect you to come back, more serene, more joyful after seeing wonderful places and interesting people. Life styles different from yours to share with us.
Your post, the first in #MarketFriday is the very first, as a value and a lesson, at least for me. Bar Harbor looks from another era or at least seems to have been taken from a movie. Or out of a dream I could be in LOBSTER town ...
My #MarketFriday today is: Clothes and Shoes
Thank you, Dan! I think that you are the first reply since I have been away and I want to thank you for wishing me a nice vacation. It has been beautiful and sweet and peaceful and all those good things. I always wonder why the Tatian has to end. LOL
I'm glad you had all these beauties. It all ends, unfortunately. We must learn to enjoy everything we have now! We often forget (or rather, I forget almost all the time).
hello as always I love that little town and so many shops, so much to buy hehe
the clock runs I hope to find you

Ha ha good to hear you're doing fine. Haven't been making too much posts these days figured I needed a breather to get fresh ideas.
I totally understand that
What is #marketfriday without flowers? Right? I hope you have a wonderful time dear Denise!
Absolutely! Market Friday without flowers is like a day without sunshine thank you so much sweetie!
XO
First off have a good vacation :)
I have driven through Main but never stopped there this post with the cool shops makes me want to actually visit there sometime
Here is my post for this week https://steemit.com/marketfriday/@tattoodjay/market-friday-kiosks
For shame! You have no idea what you're missing! How would you pass up the land of lobster??
I'm kidding, of course. one of those beautiful states that so many people never get to. I hope you get the chance to rectify that.
Mean is so beautiful and I haven't even posted any pictures of it's gorgeous rugged Coast. The coastline of Maine will just blow your mind. It's that beautiful!
I hope all is well with you and Lulu. You notice I got it right this time. I will never make that mistake again, although last week all I did was saying about Lola, you know, the showgirl! oh my god there I go again. Care of yourself JJ and I'll be back soon. I'll be checking in now and again.
@dswigle Its Ok She gets called so many names by various members of the family LOL and none of them her real name :)
Lol
I haven't done a market Friday post as I'm on grandpa duty. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it lol. I was at Cromer beach today and had some crab for the first time and might be able to spin it up to a post for next Friday. It's all a bit fishy :) Maine Lobster is the best and we discussed it today over our fish and chips and Cromer Crab. Happy trails Denise.
I love it! Grandpa duty!Maine lobster is the best. I grew up on them, living so close!
I will be excited to see a post from you!
Thanks, Michael!
Another great market Friday post! Your adventures always make me smile. I cracked up at the no food, no drink, no moose, yes dogs sign. lol!
I know, right?? So, if I start meowing, you'll know why!
