Growing Marijuana Indoor - And avoid getting caught.
Avoid Getting Caught Growing Marijuana Indoor
Growing marijuana can be a fun and harmless hobby if this is done right and just for personal use. Germinating cannabis seeds is still illegal in most countries and here are some helpful tips on how to avoid getting caught growing marijuana. This will not cover everything for everyone since there are different laws and regulations per country but with some common sense you can go a long way.
Tattletales:
Growers rule nr 1: Don't tell anyone! Or the absolute bare minimum of people. This is most important even when people don't intent to tell on you, they can accidentally let it slip to the wrong people.
Irregular visitors can be a problem, if you live where you growroom is you will get used to the smell but the yearly meter reader from your electric company or the pizza delivery guy will maybe recognize the smell and inform the wrong people about it.
Some growing materials available at normal shops (ex. supermarkets) can flag up at their monitoring systems especially when buying in bulk. Online growshops tend not to keep records in most countries.
Social media and photo developing:
Just as the rule "don't tell anyone" this also applies to sharing your photos online on facebook, twitter and other social media a IP address is easily traced and even if you have your information private it is easily detectable in what region you may live by screening your friends/followers and there are some examples that people recognized the neighbourhood or house on the pictures and forwarded that information. Developing any photos of your precious marijuana plants in your local photo boot shop is a dumb move, in most countries they have a legal responsibility to inform the authorities if they spot anything that looks illegal.
Don't steal power:
A lot of growers are getting caught because they steal the electricity they use from neighbours, streetlights or other ways, this always get noticed eventually. I would recommend to use just 1x HPS lamp of 600 watt if you're just a hobby grower and pay fairly for the energy you use. This will not raise any suspicion on your electricity bill and yields of +/- 400 gram on 1 square meter can easily be reached every 10 weeks.
Equipment:
Of course a seed, some dirt, water and light and you can start growing, but when the plants become bigger they will start to smell from time to time especially when they're in their flowering period. Always make sure you're using carbon filters to filter the air leaving your growing room and good isolation of the room so the air that goes out always goes through the carbon filter.
Temperature:
The heat can rise quite high in your growing room, when it's winter it can raise suspicion that your house is the only one without any ice or snow on the roof. Try to make a buffer arround your growroom with empty space and a extractor fan with thermometer in your grow room to regulate the temperature. There are complete grow tents available which are perfect for small indoor growers.
Getting seeds and equipment:
Try to avoid getting your seeds and equipment delivered on your name and the adress where you plan to grow, depending on the country where you live in it can be easy or difficult to do this privately.
No disturbances:
Make sure your equipment like the extractor fan doesn't make any loud noises during the nights that you keep a minimum in the water tank in case it may start leaking and leak through to your neighbours ceiling, no more loud music and parties etc. Try to keep it quiet and avoid getting any complaints or visitations by lanlord or authorities.
