As you can see the penalty's for marijuana possession have dramatically decreased compared to ten years ago . or even 5 years ago today. Seeing this downward trend in penalties and arrest involving the plant ( I say plant because its not a drug! ) May be a good sign toward the upcoming legalization of it. It has already been decriminalized in NY . It is already legal in eight states, nationwide, plus the District of Columbia. I have spoken with over 50 People on the matter and only one had an issue with the topic of legalization ( An 90 year old women who believes it "Ruined" her sons life ) which is outrageous . the fact is , we all make out own decisions in life and are responsible for them. With the right attitude ( which it looks like we got ) and enough people pushing for it marijuana could be legal for recreation by the end of next year easy. So please do your part and lets make NY a better place where a weed that grows wild in some areas isnt illegal...
