RE: Florida just gave the "Ok" to two dispensaries in Florida for Medicinal low-THC marijuana!

Low-strength cannabis. What a ripoff to the people.

You know that's like saying people can only buy Bayer low-dose aspirin, right? The "low-thc" cannabis is better argument is fueled by ignorance. Sorry.

Potent cannabis is a Good Thing(TM), because it allows people to buy less, be exposed to less contamination in/on the cannabis and it's more effective. Setting limits on potency is criminal, making big money for black markets in the area. Which politician is making the most from cannabis trafficking??

Keep it Clean!

You're right, the government is milking the last of what they can before marijuana is decriminalized. I think the main reason that they started with the low-THC howver, is to allow the patients who actually need the medicine to easily obtain it. The state makes revenue from insurance companies paying the dispensaries and collecting taxes, while pharmaceutical companies still profit from other diseases that could be treated with a higher dosage of THC. Maybe marijuana usage will grow once it is nation-wide decriminalized, however until then the states with laws such as Florida's will milk the profit until Amendment 2 or a similar bill is passed.

Overall, its all about money and the well-being of the people seems to not matter anymore.

Exactly. I mean really... TWO dispensaries for ALL of Florida?

Potency limits, plus I'm sure carry limits, will ensure a lot of trips, a lot of money collected and a rather marginal amount of healing in exchange.

Soooo glad this is all going away in the next few years. :D

In my county in Florida they have decriminalized Marijuana and made it a civil offense under the officer's discretion for under 20 grams. So if you get caught with under 20 grams and the cop is cool, you'll end up with a court date and a $100 ticket. Try and calculate the revenue from fines to date since that law. It's bullshit milking the grey area.
