Tiny Home Communities Providing Homeless Veterans With A Place To Call Home

in #market6 years ago

Tiny home options have grown in popularity over the years not only as the result of a lifestyle choice that many are making for themselves, but it's also a solution to economic pressures that people of all ages are feeling in cities worldwide.

There are countless tiny home communities to be found, and various small homes for sale that are now available on the market. If you are looking for one, you could find yourself spending anywhere from a few thousand to tens of thousands of dollars, depending on what you want.

The implementation of this home trend has been a difficult road though, as you might expect, with various bureaucrats in different cities around the U.S. and elsewhere, who have sought to push-back against the trend citing zoning issues and more. Slowly though, more municipalities have been looking to embrace the tiny homes and this market continues to see high growth.

If you are someone who finds the tiny living lifestyle appealing, there are options to test it out without having to commit as well. You can find dozens of tiny home vacation sites that will let you experiment with what it would be like to live in such a small space.

Housing option for vets...

There are people of all ages who seem to be interested in embarking on their own tiny home journey and one crowd that's definitely benefiting from this low cost housing option is veterans.

In Phoenix, there are ongoing efforts there to set up the very first tiny home community for veterans in Maricopa County. Tiny homes have also been donated to vets in Texas, and tiny home communities established in various regions around the U.S. including California, Alabama, and elsewhere.

There are estimated to be thousands of homeless veterans in the U.S. at the moment...

The tiny home alternative while perhaps not ideal for those who might appreciate a bigger space, is certainly a better option for them than having them on the street. It gives them something to call their own and it offers them peace by knowing they will have a roof over their head when they go to sleep at night.
