The Nigerian education system and policies is a shadow of its own, therefore whatever comes or goes is acceptable as the school management doesn't have anyone to check mate them.

In Nigerian schools (University especially) students are sexual abused on so many reasons but to bring one of the reason to light, the Sex for grades is one reason that affects almost the female students and maybe few male students. Male students are abused too, but the female students are more vocal, maybe because the male students don't feel to speak out or they are just scared to do so.

Majority if not all the Lecturers at every university in Nigeria is guilty of this crime. They prey on unserious students, lazy students and students who may have failed due to circumstances beyond their control. They demand for SEX from their students in other to award marks or pass them.

This crime has been going on for a long time, reasons being that the appropriate authorities are not looking into the matter. And also the sole fact that in Nigeria once you're holding a position you're assumed to be a demi god. A lot of female students have been a victim of this ungodly act vetted upon by these evil lecturer in our university. Some are still suffering the psychological effect and trauma this illicit act has vested upon them.

Some of these lecturer hide under the guise of being your counselor, father figure, just name it. A lot of students have spent more than the period they are supposed to spend in schools because they didn't accept to trade their bodies for sex. It's disheartening to know this because some bright future have been jeopardize as a result of this.

The female lectures are not left out too as some of them demand sex from their male students in other to pass them or give them high grades. Many male students would rather not speak up to this, the reason is best know to them.

I am calling on all the bodies available to check this evil acts meted on students in our universities. It is becoming a normal thing in our society and we should not fold our hand to watch this go scot free. There should be stiffer punishments or tough penalties should be give to these lecturers.
