Place Jemaa el-Fna "Place des Trépassés") is a famous public square in the south-west of the medina of Marrakesh in Morocco. This traditional, popular and lively place, particularly at night, attracts more than a million visitors every year. "The cultural space of the Jemaa el-Fna square" has been inscribed intangible cultural heritage since 2008 (proclamation in 2001) and World Heritage since 1985 by UNESCO.

Real Court of Miracles, near the souks of Marrakech, near the Koutoubia mosque and the royal palace, this place is one of the main attractions traditional and historical tourism in Morocco. It is animated by an important popular life from the end of the afternoon until the call to prayer at dawn. More than a million visitors visit each year and more than 10,000 people are served there every day4.

Indeed, during the day many fairgrounds, street-goers and street performers are present (fire-eaters, henna tattooers, monkey showers, snake charmers, fortunetellers, etc.), while the night is including food stands that are present.
