7 Powerful Facts About Avengers: Infinity War

1.Red Skull
A less penetrating eye could have missed it, but the villain from Captain America: The First Avenger appears in the Infinity War as a ghostly guardian of the Soul Stone. While it seemed to be destroyed by Tesseract, the cosmic stone contained in it actually teleported the Red Skull to the planet Wormir, where he became the keeper of the Soul Stone for more than seven long decades until the appearance of Thanos.

2.Blonde Widow
Scarlett Johansson played the role of agent Natalia Romanov, also known as the Black Widow, in the Endless War. Appearing with a different hairstyle in each of his appearances, Romanoff dyed his hair blonde for Infinity War, as a tribute to Elena Belova, the second character who uses the nickname “Black Widow” in Marvel Comics.

3.Billion Dollar Man
The appearances of Robert Downey Jr. in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films after 2012 Avengers were discussed separately from the contracts of his fellow actors. This means that his appearances in Captain America: Civil War and Spider-Man: Homecoming, as well as in Infinity War, were discussed separately - this may be due to his central role in Infinity War.

4.X-Cluded
Speaking of crossovers, although the X-Men are part of the Marvel Comics universe, they were not mentioned in the Avengers films. This is because Marvel filed for bankruptcy in 1996 and sold his rights to X-Men to Fox; Spider-Man went to Sony, and Disney bought Marvel. As a result, the X-Men movie series refers to a different universe than the Avengers universe, with iterations of the Mercury character in X-Men: Days of Future Past and Avengers: Age of Ultron. Even then, Quicksilver was killed in Age of Ultron to avoid further conflicts. Spider-Man, on the other hand, was allowed to appear in Infinity War due to Sony's special permission.

5.Ten Year Anniversary
The release of Avengers: Endless War takes place a decade after the release of the first movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe - Iron Man since 2008. During this time, Marvel has released 18 films and 11 television series. For reference, if the MCU were human, he would be old enough to attend fifth grade.

6.Part of the Plan
After Dr. Strange peers into more than 14 million - more precisely, 14,000 605 - possible future dates using the time stone, he claims to have seen one timeline that defeats Thanos. The rest of his actions can be considered as setting up this single timeline, including losing the battle with Thanos, abandoning the stone of time and removing him from existence.

  1. A Long Shot
While most of the characters in the MCU confirmed fate at the end of the Infinity War, Hawkeye, the Avenger, is nowhere to be seen throughout the film. However, the lack of visible disintegration from Thanos’s finger is a good sign, as this probably means that he is still retired and could potentially return in the future.
