Evan McMullin, CIA Agent turned Clinton Agent?

Evan McMullin, a third party candidate in the 2016 presidential election, is a conservative running on the independent ticket. McMullin aims to clench the presidency by vote of the House of Representatives. His candidacy is hinging its success on the possibility that he can deny both Trump or Clinton the necessary 270 electoral votes to win.

The demographics of McMullin are primarily conservatives who want to #VoteYourConscious, a candidate who best represents conservative values without the bluster and showmanship of Donald Trump or the corruption of Hillary Clinton.

Upon review of McMullin’s policies, which you can find on his website, they include providing illegal immigrants a path to citizenship, the continuation of importing refugees from Middle Eastern countries, supporting gay marriage on a federal level (rather than the state level) and supporting parts of ObamaCare, such as the guaranteed coverage for pre-existing conditions.

These are not conservative policy positions. These are more inline with establishment Republican party and Democratic party policy positions. Other positions include reforming healthcare, increasing military spending and growing our presence around the world. These policies will no doubt have the same disastrous effects that the current policies have, increasing health care costs and the continuation of the destabilization in the Middle East. You can be sure that McMullin promises more of the same if elected.

Leadership Experience, 2001 to Current, None

McMullin served in the CIA, National Clandestine Service, from 2001 to 2011 as an agent within the Middle East. As the Snowden leaks show, the NSA has developed programs used to spy on private citizens. The CIA has had their own secret programs, including one which helped the US Department of Justice spy on private citizens by soaking up massive amounts of data from cellular networks. One should have a high degree of skepticism for any candidate who touts their service for a spy agency as a positive quality. This experience gives no more credibility than any other candidate.

Directly after McMullin finished his service in the CIA he immediately began to work for Goldman Sachs, one of the largest donors to the Clinton campaign and still scrutinized for the speeches she was paid for.

Often the argument “she or he doesn’t have the experience to qualify to be the president of the United States” is used against an opponent. This couldn’t be more applicable to McMullin. While Trump has experience running a multi-billion dollar, world-wide business enterprise, and Clinton the Secretary of State, McMullin has no advertised managerial or leadership experience.

Dubious Associations to Left Leaning Influences

McMullin is supported by a non-profit organization
Better for America. No surprise that its supporters, donors and chair include #NeverTrump establishment Republicans. However, the relationships of some of the supporters and donors have dubious connections to liberal influences.

• Christine Whitman, a Republican who was the administrator of the EPA while working under former president George W. Bush. Given her liberal environmental positions, even Republicans have branded her as being an elitist country club liberal. She is currently a member of the Foreign Affairs Policy Board under Secretary of State John Kerry.
• Lawrence Lessig, a democrat, who ran for the presidency in 2016 on the democratic ticket.
• CNN an unabashed mouthpiece for the Clinton campaign. CNN provides a platform for their Chair, John Kingston III, to talk about their candidacy.

Keep in mind the #NeverTrump crowd consists primarily of establishment Republicans, where they are attempting to thwart their elected candidate, by creating a party which has a zero percent chance of winning. Some are openly endorsing Clinton. It is becoming obvious who in the Republican Party is actually conservative, and who is simply paying lip service to conservative values. Even now, the Bush family (sans George W. Bush) have openly endorsed Clinton. The association between the Bush family and the #NeverTrump crowd are undeniable.

McMullin, in his own words, openly admits that he is running to "happy to have prevented, who I believe is a true authoritarian, from taking power in the United States and that's Donald Trump." Essentially, the campaign is not about stopping the most corrupt politician in American history, but to use a non-argument to prevent Trump from winning.

Isn’t it also suspect that the party is trying to provide an option for #NeverTrump and #NeverHillary voters but is only targeting highly conservative states such as Utah? Furthermore, why would a democrat ever vote for a Republican or for conservative values? The likelihood that a liberal votes for McMullin is about zero percent.

With the policy positions that McMullin holds, the backing of liberal and liberal leaning donors, #NeverTrump Republicans (which include the Bush family) and the targeted demographics of conservative voters, one wonders if McMullin is truly a conservative or being used as a tool by the elitists to manipulate conservative voters, who want an option to #VoteYourConscious.

Given the amount of corruption the Clintons have been involved in, the associations and interests that benefit from a Clinton presidency, the massive collusion between the main stream media and Clinton (as brought to light in the WikiLeaks), and the dubious motives of the #NeverTrump crowd, one must imagine the possibility that this candidate is nothing more than a Clinton chess piece used in the game of the 2016 presidential election.
