If you eat MEAT you should be ASHAMED of yourself.

Vegetarians don't eat meat because when you're body breaks down the proteins and animal fats it releases toxins that are not released when you consume vegetables. I will agree that there are a lot of vegetarians out there that only do it for the hype, but if you research it properly You'll find out that all meat based nutrients can be replaced with plant based nutrients. You'll be healthier for it too as long as you make sure you're still consuming all the nutrients you need. The vegans that end up malnourished give all other vegetarians a bad name because they're doing it wrong. The sad truth is that people glorify the enslavement, torture, and slaughter of millions of animals each year simply so that they can have "tasty food". If we pumped our production into healthy non-meat alternatives there would be much more food available at a lower cost for everybody. Think about it, it takes 6 lbs of feed to make 1 lb of beef. That's a 6x loss of production value just so we can continue our selfish, self-indulgent lifestyle. The majority of the animals we eat are raised on farms in conditions that if humans are raised in would be considered slavery and torture. Being a meat eater is immoral and unhealthy. It's sustainable due to our technology, but it is wrong to continue doing so when you know there is a better way. If you disagree with what i have to say then please let me know why, and give facts, not just opinions, because i don't care about opinions.

Amen! Keep up the good posts!

Ty lark I'll do my best

This is my argument against your blanket statement. Genetics determine the best nutrition for each individual person, not ideologies or beliefs.

Just because we "could" replace all those nutrients with veggie based one doesn't mean we should. Not for everyone.

I will say that you are correct that most meat humans eat are from "factory farms" or from, really, inhumane conditions. As a farmer I strive to give my animals a good life while I have them, before I butcher them for my own families consumption. I raise sheep and chickens but have associates in our co-op who raise beef on pasture. They pay nothing for feed and input no antibiotics or hormones into their cattle. They have a happy and normal life, so there are exceptions to everything.

Yes it is a blanket statement, but it is for the most part true. Everybody knows there is always an exception, i don't care about the exceptions i care about the majority causing the problems. All that link shows is that people need different levels of nutrients, it said nothing about some people needing meat where the majority of the rest of us would be better off without it. We're all human genius, we all need the same stuff, we just need it in different amounts that's all that said.

Great post! I agree!

Thanks Danny!! It's always nice to find others who feel the same.

Recommend reading RAW Food and the Psych Ward. Think it will talk to you :)

If you had to go to the psyche ward I don't think eating a vegetarian diet is what caused it.

Where are you getting your facts from?
