This is how those confident-sounding pundits and politicians have been able to control the dominant narratives about world events and keep a huge majority of the population in alignment with the narrow Overton window of acceptable ideas. It isn't because they have better ideas or more truthful narratives (I just made myself laugh typing that), it's because the people who get hired and promoted by the plutocrat-owned media are the ones who can speak lies and half-truths with the confident voice of authority.

I totally agree on your perspective, but disagree entirely on your solution.

THE PROBLEM is not one of allowing ourselves to be led by the sociopaths (who's some personality traits are exactly as you stated, confidence in delivery of BS!lol)

THE PROBLEM is that we have come to accept this as a validity of intelligence. (which it is obviously not).
Trying to fight the sociopaths with their own specialized weapons is a self defeating strategy.

Educating people to discern the difference between actions and words is the key.
Sociopaths are notoriously lacking in the action department. Illusions are there favorite tool. (words).

When actions are judged in retrospect, and not words in the moment, becomes the priority, that's when we take back control.

Using the weapons that they are expert in (empty words with authority), is like a left handed tennis player playing right handed one.
They (the lefty) always have an advantage as they are playing right handed players 90% - i.e. most of the time - where as when a right handed player plays a lefty- they are at a massive disadvantage because they hardly ever play lefties.

(I use this analogy from my own experience as a lefty tennis player)
