A Conversation Inside the Cathedral

  • We’re losing control of the narrative. Too many people have stopped watching television and aren't getting the "correct" information—they get all their news from the internet.
  • Then put our approved news online.
  • We do, but there are too many websites, too many alternative viewpoints.
  • Everyone's on Facebook and Twitter, so promote our agenda there.
  • But people can choose who they follow on social media. They don't all follow us.
  • Then we pressure Facebook and Twitter to force our information on them. Attach "fact-checks" to any posts that go counter to our narrative.
  • Ok, done.
  • Oh, shit… Now they’re leaving Facebook and Twitter.
  • Dammit. What do we do now?
  • Neuralink.
  • Elon's brain-computer implants?
  • Yes, then we can fact-check everyone’s thoughts in real-time.
  • We’ll finally eliminate all wrongthink for good.

Neuralink is garbage. We are many years away, hundreds of years if Musk is lucky, from something like this being invented, if at all possible. It's just propaganda.

People speak as if it were a fact that this is going to happen but the reality is that it is very, very difficult for it to happen. The most amazing thing Musk has done is make promises, but there is nothing to support those promises, so far they are empty words, I would not worry about that.
