Generally original stuff you put some effort into seems to do the best. Yet it doesn't always happen. You can bust your ass and get $0. So to avoid envy and frustration the best advice I can give is to post about what you know, and what you like. Reply to other people's posts. If people like it they will upvote. If they don't it doesn't mean they didn't like it. It could mean they simply didn't SEE it. This platform is in beta and it still leaves a lot to be desired as far as discoverability, yet that is also a tricky thing to always pull off on something be flooded with new content. TL;DR - post what you know in love, hang in there, don't worry if you don't get votes
