Man is always a slave. Do away with a Republic and man will find another thing to enslave himself to. Even when man thinks he's free, he's still a slave.

And he's almost always enslaved to his sin which he loves to wrap himself up in despite the fact its causing all of his problems to begin with. But oh, how he loves to wrap himself up in it.
