Waverly tennesse, disaster

I live in waverly TN, and everyday i pass this memorial. On february 24 1978 a train was hauling propane tanks and people have told me the tanks exploded and distroyed homes and buissnesses. I also heard this spot was a bus stop where kids would wait for there bus to go to school. 16 people died and people told me 43 people were injured but the sign at the memorial says over 200 people were injured including fire fighters and police men. I pass this spot everyday and it always gets to me because those people didnt know what was coming and they were just living life.
