Don't trust your memory, write it down
Human memory is pretty amazing, not all of us can memorize every detail of our memories from the very start that we learn to think upto the very present of our life.
Even me that when i dreamed of someone or something, when i woke up i normally do not recognize their faces and even forgot what i was dreamed, and its a lack of memory.
There are many reasons that we cannot trust our own memory and there are tendencies that we cannot remember positive things and forget the negative ones. And there are some times that we read or hear something and it store in pur brains, and only remember it later as a completely idea. And these ideas can lay in out minds for months or years and resurface without us realizing it and that is the reason why movies,tv shows or books be accidentally plagiarized.
Our memory is little less accurate than the time before every time we remember something , that is why we need to write it down before we forget those memories that still in our brain.
We have no reason to think that our memory is less than perfect and probably won't realize we are wrong until we are confronted with evidence. Like in criminal cases, the eyewitness testimony is not always reliable.
And not all we can see is like a camera from captured images, details to details, because when we look at something we tend to focus on the details that are more interesting and ignore the rest of the appearance, making it really hard to accurately recreate a full visual field in your memory.
As we grow older and aged, our hormone and blood levels thst flow to the brain also decreases so it is much harder to remember things like names, places, memories from the past, and that memory loss is hard to be back in track, that what we called dimensia or alzheimer's desease.
So it is not bad not to trust your own memory, and the best collecting of th ideas and info that comes your way is a journal.
