mgsc - Trek to Sagargad

As the name goes, Sagar (Sea) & Gad (Fort), this place is a perfect trekking destination for both mountain and sea lover and it offers a panoramic view of the Arabian Sea from top on a clear day. From Khandale village, a few hours of ascend across various waterfalls takes us to the summit. As we reach this gigantic plateau, one can enjoy the moment as it’s quite breezy during monsoons. Both Beginners and avid trekkers would love the hike, as it’s picturesque and mesmeric.
There is a small temple of Mahishasur Mardini ,a water tank and "Dhondane" water fall on the way. There is a Siddheshwar monastery on the Sagargad machi. The top offers majestic views of the famous Vanartok pinnacle, the entire area of Alibag (including the beach which lies just 8km away)
