What is cheetah bot ?

Hi steemians!!

As we all know there are many bots on steemit and one of it is cheetah bot . This bot added to steemit an year back and the main purpose of this bot is avoid copyrighted and spam content.
Whenever you post a copyrighted thing or image from an website or anywhere on internet within 15 minutes this bot upvotes you and comments on your post . In the comment it's written that I have found a similar content to your post which readers might be interested in and even a link of the original post is given. There's nothing harm to your account and profile if the bot catches you but you need to careful because if this is done numerous times you get added to it's blacklist and indeed you reputation decreases and also their a high chance that your followers unfollow you and disvote your post. Even if you translate an YouTube video and into a post it catches you .Never ever try to copy a article and do some corrections here and there and try to post on steemit you will be caught.

Ways to avoid cheetah bot :-

  1. When you use images from Google or any site don't forget to give the original creator mention.

  2. If you take idea from other blogs on internet and write then mention their website's link.

  3. Always use original content and write some new content which is never written before.

See guys no one likes to read copied content and articles which everyone writes like what is Bitcoin? What is block chain?

Try to write unique and interesting content which is attractive and always use images from copyright free sites . PIXABAY is such a site from you can use images for free without copyright and main thing is you also didn't need to give mention to them. So be safe and never copy content it may lead to blocking your account and your posts might be hidden . Good luck !!!

I would supplement your fair advices:

  • In Google you must use free images (sometimes it is not enough to mention the author); to do so, you can use the advanced filters
  • It could be recommended to obtain an author's written permission (or such a proof) for using part or entire of his work/images
  • Steemit is a social based on quality: why should I read anything already written otherwhere? So, write new/original content, do not copy, nor re-elaborate summaries (spun); even if you are the author of a text published somewhere cheetah may catch your work and mark it as plagiarism. So post here first, then in your other blogs/socials if you want
  • You can copy sentences that are already written by anyone using the blockquote html tag

Still I am newbie
A bigggggg thanks to you
