Through several years of clinical experience and literature studies, I finally found out that obesity is not only derived from food and how strong the determination is to slim down, but from MIND.
Yup! Mind!
And, do you know? This is your main problem, the cause of your obesity! The main cause of your obesity is not your self-control, but your mind. However forced, your self-control power is stuck at 12%.
But, how is your mind the most important cause of obesity?
Why Does Weight Increase and Fall Every Time You Do a Diet?
Everything starts with your mind! The human mind consists of 2 parts, the conscious mind and the subconscious mind.
One function of the conscious mind is self control; control yourself to do or avoid something. When you force yourself to exercise for the sake of slimming down, it is your conscious mind that forces you to do it. When you try hard to resist your favorite cake, it is your conscious mind that tries hard to resist it.
Meanwhile, one of the functions of the subconscious mind is to maintain the security of your body, aka the body's defense mechanism.
The form of defense can vary depending on the program that manages it, or what I call SMO (Secure Mode On).
If the sound of the SMO program is "fat = safe", so that you feel safe, the mind instructs your body to accumulate fat.
Conversely, if the sound of the SMO program is "slim = safe", then for you to feel safe, the subconscious mind instructs your body to burn fat or do activities that can make you slim.
Sometimes, the conscious mind and the subconscious mind have a harmonious will. For example, both of them want you to have a slim body. But, not infrequently the will of both of them contradicts.
For example, the conscious mind wants your body to be slim, while the subconscious mind wants you to become fat.
If conditions like this occur (conscious will contradicts the will of the unconscious), then who will win?
The answer, the will of your subconscious. This is because the subconscious mind holds 88% control of yourself, while the conscious mind holds only 12% control. Or, it could be said, the influence of the subconscious mind is 9 times the influence of the conscious mind on yourself.
And, do you know? The cause of your body slimming is difficult, the cause of your diet program always fails, namely:
Your conscious will contradicts the will of your subconscious. Your conscious mind wants you to be slim, while your subconscious wants you to stay fat!
No matter how hard you try to lose weight, the business is opposed by your subconscious who wants the opposite.
