Perceptions

What is it all about? Im not going to define what is perception all about but i would like to elaborate more about perception, to relate with the asian culture towards a women as a whole. This is from my context which is not related to anyone and its good if someone from other culture to pursue studies or research about asian culture in their thesis to compare extensively by having a good sample sizes.

As all of you know, Asian are inherit and been shaped by a culture since we are born. Have to follow with Dos & Donts checklist which make us unconsciously shape the behaviour and became a habit.

Asian people known as hard worker and lazy at the same time. Hard working is when, we are willing or unwillingly to sacrifice our time more than 12 hours at work in order to pay off the debt. In our society. You are expecting to have house, car, money in order to be placed in high level of society and to be recognized. Do you think its materialistic? Yes indeed, especially when you are thinking to settle down, you have to provide a long list of expectation. This is why lots of young people nowadays delaying a marriage. They have to work hard to either paying the debts or providing the necessity(its necessary)

In terms of lazyness, we are lacking of fulfilling ourself with self development and self growth knowledge. Very least involvement in reading and learning to acquire new knowledge. I do not know in percentage but its in my surrounding.

Marriage
You have to obey to your husband in whatever circumstances. Failing in your marriage will put your status at very low level of society even you are not at fault (women’s side) but now society is quite open to that.

Friendship | Relationship
Having friends from western countries will be one of the challenges in Asia where society will ‘stamp’ you as socialable, forgetting own culture and many of other negative thoughts which i do not want to put in here.

Self Growth
Due to commitments and personal matters, we have ignorantly find an excuses not to learn or to read to acquire new knowledge. Most of them are prefer to engage in social media instead of reading and listening to materials for self development and growth. Scrolling on fb, update selfie in ig and so on. Asian is very comfortable and grateful with what they had and will not even open a mouth to demand more or give an opinion.

Education
We have started a school at age of 6 for preschool, age of 7 to 12 at primary school and age 13 to 17 at secondary school. Yea very long period of time excluded the extra classes, co curriculum, sports, music and etc. Can you imagine how competitive we are since early stage? Its not included university and so on. People stop learning after finished the necessary requirements by the government. To be honest, its tiring. No exposure been given about real life and how to survive. Not everyone is having a good luck and what will happen to the drop out students? Im wondering how difficult for them to survive.

Reality is hurt and we tend to deny it. I have denied it earlier but i manage to jump out and be different. Experiences is a good teacher in order to enhance your world. i have changed far from what has been shaped by a culture. Out of comfort zone, making friends from western countries in order to adapt with wider exposure about life, travel and knowledge. Keep reading and listening to good materials to get inspire, acquire new knowledge and improve myself.

P/s The above statement is not apply to everyone

Ciao
