Why Do YOU go to SCHOOL?

Hi, I’ve got a quick question to you.
Why do you spend time learning? Is history, math or English so important?
Most people on the World speak bad English anyway, so why bother?
I’m not going to tell you here, that learning and studying is pointless. I just want to know, why YOU do it? Maybe you want to be a doctor or a lawyer. Then it makes sense. If so, congrats. At least you know what long term planning means.
Or maybe you want to be the best in the class? Cause you love to compete. Or you parents promised, that if you’ll be in top 3, they going to buy you something? That’s sound more like a short term planing, with some financial motivation in the background - great if you want to be successful in corporation.
No, you’re different. You’re outsider, and just want to pass to next class. So no ones going to bother you. You will be alone at last. My question here, are you just so LAZY? Or are you so awesome, and already have got some idea on your future you.
Unfortunately, there was nobody to ask me that question when I was in high school. I know from experience, that doing something just because others do is stupid. You need to know WHY. You’re thinking about medicine or science, that’s great. Go for it.
If you don’t know what you want to do, maybe you should focus on spending more time to learn about yourself. Yes, you can keep learning everything about the World around you, but what’s the point?
So, WHY do you spend time learning? What goal does it help you to achieve?
