Self Destruction
hey Friends,
Such a powerful word. The word no one chooses to speak of. It's the dirty little secret that tends to never be revealed.
The secret she holds oh so tight. She is lost among the wild. She claims to be someone she isn't. She never wished to be under these circumstances but it' too late. She's always thinking of ways to hang herself from the same rope her mother used. But what good would that do to succeed and to have another death embedded in the family history?
Family history!!! Smh. There was never really a family, to begin with. She says family because she shared the last name. last name full of shame and no substance. She never knew who she was until she dragged herself all over the world to only find out she was nothing.
She was set up for a life of failure. She tried to commit suicide. yea tried. She refused to leave the world knowing she had a choice to change everything.
So she turned to addiction. Addiction was a common factor among the family name. You had a bad day, drink up! You were broke, drink up! You didn't feel good about yourself, drink up! You just had an argument, drink up! You just woke up, drink up! You needed a double shot before work, drink up! You were exhausted and you worked long hours, drink up! A friend was celebrating, drink up!
Everything was drunk up. Cheers!!! Yet cheers always brought her back to where she started. Her knees against her chest, her head leaning on her knee, her tears creating puddles around her.
She was no match for her reality she was brought into. She needed a drink to keep her a good mood, to make her feel like she could handle anything, to feel a part of something.
No one understood how she felt and what demons she was constantly fighting. She was left with nothing but her ego who kept her in chaos.
The chaos she loved so very much. Chaos loved her. At least that's what she thought. Up until the day she walked out in tears. Screaming to the heavens, "Help." Even the heavens couldn't help at that moment. The heavens just as her body was exhausted. She took her last breath and proved her body turned to dust.
ADDICTION THE GREATEST KILLER BESIDES SELF-DESTRUCTION.
