This is now the second time this has happened to me, it is really scaring me now because I have no idea why this could have even happened. If anyone knows why this happens please tell me in the comments below, thanks!

    Probably your riser is the cause since typically they are not official components except a few designed for compact case. I myself do casual mining and haven't faced such issue as I set highest priority for PSU and mainboard. This is your second time then definitely not bad luck.
