At age 17 Vitor Belfort got his jiu-jitsu black belt off of Carlson Gracie Sr. At age 19 he made his professional MMA debut against Jon Hess. He went on to combat some of the biggest names in mma for the next 20 years.
His journey ended this past weekend when Lyoto Machida knocked him out with a crane kick.
He left it all on the mat.
