In a hunk of junk like that, I'm not surprised the batteries are dead!

Oldesmobile is old,
Wheezing n' a coughin',
Oldesmobile a strugglin',
Her brand in the coffin,
Oldesmobile fast,
Like an 80s Cadillac!

Just my 10 cents and a poorly conceived rhyme :)

Lol! But on a more serious note...

Unfortunately for this lady she's apparently been "down on her luck"... She purchased the car for $400 and is trying to manage what little she does have. Managed well or not may be another story an in my opinion a battery was the most logical thing considering circumstances at the moment.

Otherwise with proper care, the Olds is probably one of the least mechanical challenges I have dealt with. Meaning they're pretty hard to kill.

Thanks for sharing and stopping by.

One man's junk is another man's treasure!!💙

You are a good guy for getting the olds up and running again. Good thing you have a little steem to subsidize your big heart! Way to go. 🐓🐓

Thank you. Now if I could post more often to help gain a little steem! :)

Those pesky batteries don't last as long as they used to! Nice to see you in action!

Thank you! An occasionally I find a battery that is over 6 years old which is pretty impressive but, not often. Thanks for stopping by.

Most batteries here live about one and half years before starting to give trouble.

Definitely want a good warranty...

whoa whoa whoa TWO YEARS? what the hell brand r they using?

My 97 town car still has its 2013 walmart maxx batteries BUT you gotta get the one's with 3 years full warranty and 2 years pro rata after that.

if you buy el cheapo, you get el cheapo!

I believe @cecicastor is in a lot colder environment, which really has a downside on battery life. I myself have experienced this in the severe winters of northern Wisconsin when I used to live there and unfortunately enough a good battery is hard to get.

An there you have it! Live and in action! If the camera would have caught a glimpse of what I was looking at you would have seen the alternator test showing live readings of voltage output. Thank you @g-gurl for that clip of action.

I appreciate all the feed back !! @northeast @mother2chicks @cecicastor 😁 @mobile-joat
